What is the history of Fulmar?

The Fulmar platform was installed in 1981 with Fulmar first oil production in 1982. Halley first oil was in 2002, and Auk North first oil in 2010.

What are the production capabilities?

At its peak in 1988-89, the Fulmar platform produced over 130,000 stock tank barrels per day. Following the retiral of the Floating Storage Unit (Fulmar FSU) in May 1994, a temporary offshore loading evacuation system had been employed at Fulmar using the STL tanker 'Vinga' and shuttle tanker offtake tankers at circa five day intervals. The export system was upgraded in 1997, now operated through a 24" diameter oil pipeline connected to the Phillips J-Block pipeline and then into the 34" diameter Norpipe system terminating at the Phillips Teesside oil terminal.
